LARP ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.

Email address (required for registration and admin recovery)
Username and display name
Password (stored as a salted scrypt hash — never in plain text)

Profile Data

Bio text, avatar, background media, custom cursor, favicon
Custom links and social media URLs
Appearance settings (colors, layout, effects, language)

Usage Data

Unique page views (one count per visitor location/IP fingerprint)
Session cookies for authentication
Approximate browser/user-agent data used only for view deduplication

Uploaded Files

Images, videos, audio, and cursor files you choose to upload

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain your bio page
To authenticate sessions and protect accounts
To track unique profile views fairly
To display badges, metadata, and join dates you enable
To operate Discover and Leaderboard features
To improve reliability, design, and performance

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only:

When required by law or legal process
To protect the rights and safety of users and the Platform
With infrastructure providers strictly needed to run LARP (under confidentiality obligations)

4. Public Information

Your bio page, username, display name, avatar, links, socials, badges, join date (if enabled), and view counts are publicly visible. Email addresses are never displayed on public pages.

5. Data Storage & Security

Profile and account data are stored in secured application storage
Passwords are hashed with industry-standard key derivation
Session tokens are signed and stored in HTTP-only cookies
Large media uploads are stored under your account upload path
No security system is perfect; use a strong unique password

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies for login. These cookies are required for the dashboard to function and expire after approximately 7 days of inactivity.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Update your profile information in the dashboard
Request account deletion
Ask questions about how your data is processed

8. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After a verified deletion request, personal data is removed within 30 days unless retention is required by law (for example fraud prevention or legal claims).

9. Children's Privacy

LARP is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

10. International Users

By using LARP, you understand that your information may be processed in the country where our servers operate. Use the Platform only if this is lawful for you.

11. Third-Party Embeds

If you embed Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, or similar services, those providers may collect data under their own privacy policies when visitors interact with the embed.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
